Default Cartoon break with Bugs Bunny

    YIKES!

January is almost over an I haven't posted anything for the new year yet!

Time for my cartoon trump card - Bugs Bunny, the cartoon king himself. Only this time Bugs has the tables turned on him.
Who remembers the 1955 cartoon "Rabbit Rampage"?

This is the successor to "Duck Amok" where poor Bugs gets the unwanted makeover treatment. So who is the "offscreen" animator?

Ha, you'll just have to watch if you don't remember:

what a classic. and if i remember right, "Duck Amok" took place in a Park Avenue hotel, with Bugs making a cameo at the end?

here's another WB, with a fascinating Dali-esque landscape. there are moments showcasing the hand of the animator, to, though in this case not as a character. if my Roman numeracy is still intact, it's from 1958

    OMG!!! That is Amazing!

I honestly don't think I've ever seen "Dough for the Do Do" before.
From a quick search, what you linked to is a 1949 remake of an earlier 1938 cartoon short called "Porky in Wackyland".

Thank you kevanesh, you have made my weekend!!!

Ya know, "Porky in Whackyland" is a lot closer to the original title I remember first seeing. Some questions may never be answered, but you've just answered one of mine!

    eh, happy presidents' day, doc.

Well kevanesh, you have introduced me to one of the most amazing WB cartoons that I'd never seen before, I owe you big time!!!

I just love cartoons where each viewing reveals new details and deeper levels of awesome. At this point in my life I am stunned by the creativity these old animated shorts represent.

So, before February is over, it's time for me to post another cartoon.

Then you might like this link, which is very old but still works, and which I'll dedicate to eddiemac, who got me inspired with the cartoon break tradition here.
