Does anyone know how the FX 5500 compares to FX 5200, FX 5600, 4Ti 4600? I know it is somewhere between the 5200 and the 5600, but I am trying for the most bang for the $$.

Is that brand new? I've never heard of it...

It's pretty new. Newegg has a couple, but I think the lack of availibiltiy has increased the price. What I can't figure out is which of the following will perform better?:

Fx 5600 128mb
Fx 5500 256mb

Both cost $100.

I'm sure the 5600 will perform better, as 256mb of video ram won't add any fps in most games. Except the really high-end ones, but you probably wouldn't be playing those with a graphics card like that anyway. :-D

Then what's the point of doubling the video ram?

As a selling point. And it WILL come in handy eventually, just not with any current games. I'm talking Doom ]|[ and HL2 here.

Sorry, must of somehow misread read your previous post. Thought it said that it wouldn't help at all, but it claerly says that it does in those high end games. What was I reading? :(
