I just wanted to post a quick bit of news that PCC has a FULL line of new laptops on the way. We have just finalized a contract was a US distributor of Clevo laptops, also known as Sager. We hope to have everything in place by the end of the week.

A few models to note -- the 4760 and 4780 with HUGE 17" screens, the 8890 with two CDROM bays and an integrated TV tuner and detachable MP3 player....the features go on and on! We're very excited to be able to offer this product line....stay tuned for new announcements!

How is that working out for you? Do you have to worry much about cooling them? I know Alienware had some trouble with that when they first entered the laptop market...

So far, so good, but I can't speak for the Clevo line yet. The UniWill laptops have been great. They warned us of some possible problems with the N258 model when running a processor faster than 2.8GHz, but we just haven't seen it -- we're able to do all our burn in tests with no problems. It DEFINITELY gets warm, but not hot enough to cause any problems. I'll have to let you know about the Clevo line as soon as we get the first units in.

Hah, not likely! The 20 pound water resevoir kinda reduces the portability of the machine!

Richard and I have devoted pretty much an entire week to this project, and there's still a lot of stuff to do, but we have enough to finially post the laptops and see what response we will get.

We got a few of the Landscape models in last week, and we were VERY pleased with what we saw. These are some truly excellent laptops!

I think that if I were to get a good laptop, I would get it from you guys.
