Well, this is my first post :-D thought I'd post this up in the forums instead of constantly e-mailing Richard with my questions :rollin
Both of these are the same price, which is better??
Lite On 8X DVD+RW/-RW CDRW (black)
Sony DWU18A 8X DVD+R/4x DVD-R (black)
Thanks ;-)

I like the LiteOn. Want to fight?
Generally, the Sony is seen as a more widely compatible drive, but the LiteOn comes bundled with Nero Express.

richard I know your biased towards sony games but at least you didnt take it all the way like I did and ban all sony products, just because of the way customer service treated me in one of their games. Just goes to show you how important good customer service is.
I dread the day I start seeing sony suv's and sports cars on the road. :-D

I should add that sony does make quality products.
I hope that picture on the left of the hulkster isnt liteon compared to sony's on the right.

The sony has been fine with me too. A couple of issues with compatibility, but they play in my home theater setup so that's what was most important to me.

I'm a lite-on fan, myself, but I doubt you'll have any major problems with either. I got lite-on drives in my system, they're cheaper and work great! Oh yeah, and like Jon said, you get Nero express for free.
