Jon, et al.,
My dual xeon system with an Asus PC-DL MOBO and 4GB RAM was experiencing some weird problems, loosing the RAID Array, not booting to Windows, crashing after installing a new program. It really looked like a MOBO, HDD or RAM problem.
Jon and the crew sent me a pre-paid UPS label to return it to them for analysis. As you might guess, when they booted it up - no problems! On the phone, Jon suggested it might be a USB device problem. Sure enough, that looks like the issue.
I have a USB 1.1 powered Hub with 5 devices attached. When I tried to boot the machine with it attached, same problems. When I attached the individual devices thru a USB2 Hub, no problems!
So, BEWARE of older USB1.1 Hubs plugged into USB2 ports!
Jon, your CS is fantastic! AAA+++
