:wigSo I was looking at a few forums about the XGPU (Extreme Graphics Processing Unit, or the xbox graphics card). I came across one user on one forum that said he has the $150 price slash xbox...and that he saw no fan on the XGPU. He explained that it makes sense, since less quality and fans = cheaper. Do you think it's true? I got the Xbox when it was $150, and it runs fine with Halo 2. I've played for hours and nothing seems to go wrong. No Overheating, freeze-ups, or low shader quality when comparing with a friends xbox at a Lan party. Would Microsoft do this? It sounds like a simple way for them to save that extra money for GPU fans, but why betray customers. If it is true then it would still have a heatsink. I don't Know, and I don't really want to open my xbox. Or should I just to be safe?

The smaller heatsink with the fan is the XGPU.
