Mouse freezing in EQ2

Lately I have been having intermittent problems with my mouse freezing shortly after entering EQ2--only solution is to completely reboot--any suggestions for a solution?

It might be a bad mouse... what kind is it? My cheapo MS mouse randomly jumps to the corner of the screen... it's rather annoying mid-Halo to find myself spinning and staring at the ceiling.

It's not a cheapo, it's a wireless optical Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 that I've had for over a year, with no problems until 2 or 3 weeks ago. So far only occurs in EQ2, but that's basically the only game I play.

Have you tried a different mouse? That should tell you pretty quickly whether it's the mouse or if it's your computer. If it's your computer, I'd suggest re-installing the game.
