W00t - got a new monitor for father's day - a Mitsubishi diamond pro.

What's your preferred way to calibrate - if any?

Whoo! Nice monitor! I have one too! The Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2040u...

just calibrate it so that it looks good to you.

Umm... thanks. I guess I was looking for something a little more scientific to verify brightness, contrast, colors, etc.

I think that would be hard to do unless someone had the exact same set up as you .
I adjusted my new viewsonic g220fb using the bliss desktop setting which is a grassy field with blue sky and white clouds .
i used the adjustments from the monitor and my x800 vid card .
my resolution is at 1280x1024 you can watch the clouds for to much contrast and get the green and blues to look good to your eyes.
I had my other computer set up next to my new one and adjusted everything on my new viewsonic crt till it looked like my lcd display on my old comp. neways hope that helps out a little.
